Brooke
Brooke Nelson graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Ft. Hays State University in 2002 and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 2004. Brooke has worked as a medical social worker at a local pediatric hospital since 2003. Prior to her current position she worked as an adoption social worker at Kansas Children’s Service League. During her time at Kansas Children’s Service League, Brooke found a strong interest in completing adoption home studies and has been completing private adoption home studies as an independent contractor since 2008. Brooke has completed both domestic and international adoptions. Brooke is a strong advocate for families and has significant experience in the areas of adoption, child abuse and neglect, intimate partner violence, child health and poverty, and grief and loss. Brooke truly enjoys completing home studies and helping prospective adoptive parents reach their dream of becoming an adoptive family. Sara Donnelly, LSCSW, LCSW
Sara
Sara Donnelly is a licensed social worker with several years of experience providing social work services to children and families. She is currently a medical social worker at a local pediatric hospital. Sara earned dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Social Work and Family Studies & Human Development from Kansas State University in 2001 and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Kansas in 2008. She began her career as a foster care and adoption social worker at Kansas Children’s Service League and later worked for the state of Kansas overseeing foster care and adoption cases. Sara has a strong interest in helping families grow through adoption. She possesses a deep empathy and understanding of working with families that have experienced grief and loss associated with infertility and child loss. Sara also has experience working with families in areas of child abuse/neglect, child health, substance abuse, crisis intervention, and grief and loss.
